Description

Nikon P900 Coolpix Camera

The Nikon Coolpix P900 digital camera takes ultra high-power zoom cameras to the next level. With a 16.1-megapixel sensor, the Nikon P900 and get closer to your subjects with 83x optical zoom (24mm -2000mm equivalent in 35mm format) and 166x Dynamic Fine Zoom*1(approximately 4000mm equivalent in 35mm format). With the new Dual Detect Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) feature, your shots are stabilised at a shutter speed of approximately 5.0 stops*2 faster, letting you capture clearer imagery. Shoot with the Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) with eye sensor, or flip out the 3-inch vari-angle LCD monitor for more unique photo compositions. Connect to your smart devices with ease by simply using the built-in Wi-Fi® or NFC*3. All in a compact and stylish body, with a rechargeable Li-ion battery that delivers the longest battery life in its class.

In addition to enabling incredible close-ups as well as taking advantage of telephoto compression effects, it can also be used to provide a shallow depth-of-field that can be used to highlight just your subject and de-focus the background. The COOLPIX P900 provides extensive coverage from wide-angle to telephoto with a focal range equivalent to 24-2000 mm*, in a compactly designed camera that also boasts high-performance vibration reduction. By using Dynamic Fine Zoom, it is possible to go up to 4000 mm** without any sacrifice in resolution. Moreover, digital zoom takes you up to 8000 mm* for more increased magnification and for framing and composition of long shots. By combining both zoom styles, it is possible to take some astronomical subjects. Inclusion of leading-edge technologies such as the Super ED lens assures acquisition of sharp images. These attributes, together with superior portability and handling, make the COOLPIX P900 an ideal performer for capturing images of birds and other wildlife, landscapes, aircraft, railroads, sports, and even celestial bodies, such as the moon, Galilean satellites, and Saturn.

Key Features of the Nikon P900 Coolpix Camera

83x Optical Zoom, 166x Dynamic Fine Zoom
With 2,000mm equivalent focal length, subjects barely visible with the naked eye can fill your frame. And if they don't, Dynamic Fine Zoom, an enhanced digital zoom effectively doubles that reach - to a 4,000mm equivalent! If you lose sight of your subject while zoomed in, press the Snap-Back Zoom button for a quick zoomed-out view. Find your subject again and then release the button - the Nikon P900 will zoom right back in. The whole time, 5.0 stops Dual Detect Optical VR improves VR performance using enhanced detection accuracy to help keep your photos sharp and your videos steady.

Send photos right to your smart device with Nikon's built-in Wi-Fi and NFC
Nikon snapbridge describes the experience of quickly and easily sending photos wirelessly from your Wi-Fi & NFC enabled COOLPIX P900 to a compatible smartphone or tablet. Share your great photos on the go, even in remote locations, or use a smartphone or tablet to control your camera.

Swiveling Vari-angle display and high-resolution eye-level viewfinder
The COOLPIX P900 gives you two ways to frame your shots: a swivelling Vari-angle LCD display and a high-resolution eye-level viewfinder (EVF). Flip out the large Vari-angle display and capture photos and videos from creative perspectives - overhead, down low or just comfortably in front of you. Put the Nikon P900 to your eye and the EVF automatically turns on and displays a beautiful and accurate high-resolution view.

Full manual exposure control
The Nikon P900 can go as far as you want to go. For advanced shooters, a PSAM mode dial is available right on top of the camera, much like a DSLR. Control the COOLPIX P900's aperture and shutter speed to control your shots exactly as you want them or overcome difficult shooting situations. But you don't have to understand exposure controls to get great results - the Nikon P900 can do all that work for you.

Built-in GPS and Points of Interest (POI) for creating amazing photo journals
Relive the excitement of your travels in a whole new way. The COOLPIX P900 records the exact location of each shot you take, so you can follow the path of your adventure and every stunning view along the way! Share your journeys on Google Maps™, Google+™, and other social networking sites, or with Nikon View NX2 software. Points of Interest (POI) show you nearby photo-ops like scenic lookouts and historic landmarks. The COOLPIX P900 is the ultimate travel companion!

Charge and go
The Nikon P900 is powered by an included EN-EL23 battery that charges quickly and delivers up to 360 shots per charge. Buy a second battery, and you can always have a fully charged back-up in your bag.

Freeze action in its tracks
When the action speeds up, simply hold the shutter button and fire off up to 7 continuous shots per second. Catch views you may not have seen before in your photos.

Show off your creativity
Unleash your creativity with the COOLPIX P900. Turn on Moon Mode, zoom in with the power of 83x optical zoom and capture stunning detailed images of the moon. Highlight a single colour in a black & white photo. Create portraits that look like paintings and illustrations. Combine multiple exposures into one high dynamic range image and so much more - all right in the camera.
